It is not very often that you need a moving truck. If you do need one, however, unfamiliarity with renting moving trucks should not be a reason to get poor-quality service at the least optimal price. It is recommended that you use a web directory of truck rental companies. A phone book is also a good option. Narrow your search down to your locality. List down the phone numbers and email address of each company that serves your area and visit their website if they have one.
It would be best if you rank them according to proximity so you won’t have to go far to pick up your truck. Before you even start calling each company, search around the web for customer reviews so you could cross out from your list those companies that have a lot of negative feedback.

How Much?

One thing to watch out for is their policy with one-way trips. Most companies charge considerably more for one-way trips because the trip back to the point of origin must be paid for as well. Get their rates and their policy on that clear from the get-go so that you can anticipate the cost and, if possible, avoid it.
Furthermore, you should ask if the moving truck rental company provides in-house service for road troubles. If your truck sputters and dies at the middle of the Interstate can you count on the truck rental company to send you help?
